नेपाल नगरपालिका संघ लुम्बिनी प्रदेशको तदर्थ समितिकाे सदस्य पदमा शिवराज नगरपालिकाका नगर प्रमुख श्री अजय थापा र कपिलबस्तु नगरपालिका का नगर प्रमुख श्री सुदिप पौडेल सर्वसम्मत चयन हुनुभएको छ ।
३३ वर्षिय नगर प्रमुख अजय थापा राष्ट्रिय प्रजातन्त्र पार्टी र ४४ वर्षिय सुदिप पौडेल जनता समाजवादी पार्टी बाट उमेद्वार भई भारी मतान्तरले निर्वाचित भएका दुवैलाई आम मतदाता सर्वसाधारण माझ लोकप्रिय युवा नगर प्रमुख जस्तै: बालेन्द्र शाह(बालेन),हर्क साम्पाङ काे उदाहरणमा चोक चोकमा दिएको पाइन्छ । जिल्लामा छुट्टै पहिचान भएका दुवै नगर प्रमुख आम नगरवासी गरिब दुःखिका आशाका केन्द्रबिन्दु कुनै नयाँ योजना आफ्नो नगरलाई नमुना नगर बनाउँछन् कि भन्ने आम नगरवासीहरुले आशा र विश्वास लिएको भनेर बुझ्ने गरेको सर्वसाधारणमा पाईन्छ
नगर प्रमुख थापाले पाँच बर्षमा पाँच योजना तर्फ बोल्ड निर्णय गर्ने जस्तै आगामी आ.व ७९-२०८० देखि नगर भित्र अनिवार्य माध्यमिक तहसम्म प्रत्येक सामुदायिक विद्यालयमा माध्यमिक तहसम्म निशुल्क शिक्षा उपलब्ध गराउने, गुणस्तरिय शिक्षा शिवराजमा चमत्कार नै भएछ भन्ने गरी जिल्ला देखि राष्ट्रमा चिनाउने, स्वास्थ्य, कृषि तथा पशुपंछी , संस्कृति तथा पर्यटन क्षेत्रमा योजना तयार गर्दा सम्बन्धित बिज्ञ राखी योजना तयार गर्ने, समेत प्रतिवद्धता समेत जाहेर गर्दै नगरको भलो हुने काम गर्छु कहिले पनि म प्रति जनताले गरेको विश्वास टुट्न दिनेछैन नगरमा हुने अन्याय अत्याचार विकृति बिरुद्दमा आफू रहेको र आफूले भ्रष्टाचार पनि नगर्ने अरुलाई पनि गर्न नदिने प्रतिबद्धता गर्नुभएको छ ।
नगर प्रमुख पौडेल कपिलबस्तु जिल्लाको सदरमुकामका कपिलबस्तु नगरपालिकाका नगर प्रमुख हुन् शिक्षा निशुल्क गर्नुका निमित्त शिक्षा शाखालाई कार्यपालिका बैठक बाट निर्णय गराएका उनी भन्छन् शिक्षा निशुल्क नहुनुको कारण विभिन्न वहानामा विद्यार्थीहरु र अभिभावकहरु बाट शुल्क उठाउनाले हो यसको निकास खोज्दै छु अन्य कुनै वहानामा शुल्क लिएका अनुदान निकासा समेत नगरले रोक्ने विद्यालयहरुलाई परिपत्र गरेका छन् त्यस्तै स्वास्थ्य तर्फ परिवारले स्वास्थ्य बीमा गर्दा लाग्ने खर्चमा नगरले ५०% रकम लगानी गर्ने यी लोकप्रिय युवा नगर प्रमुख पौडेलले शिक्षक आयोग काे लाइसेन्सको परिक्षा दिन आफ्नो नगरमा आएका परीक्षार्थीलाई बस्नका लागि होटल समेट नपाएकालाई आवासको समेत नगरको हलमा व्यवस्था गर्नुभएको थियो । वार्ड नम्बर ९ स्थित जगदीशपुर ताल गौडिचोक १ मा रहेको चिल्ड्रेन पार्क वार्ड नम्बर २ सागरटोल मा रहेको सागरताल बजार क्षेत्रमा रहेको हुलाकी सडकमा सौन्दर्यकरणका निमित्त भौतिक मन्त्रालय मा टेण्डर प्रकृया अगाडि बढाएको पर्यटन क्षेत्रमा विशेष जोड दिएको जानकारी दिनुभयो ।
कपिलबस्तु बासिको र विश्वासका पात्र मानिने यी दुवै नगरप्रमुख ले छाडा पशु चौपायाले गर्दा किसानलाई धेरैनै दुःख भएको हुँदा यसकाे समाधान हामी छिट्टै नै वगर्दैछौ भनी कपिलबस्तु बासीलाई जानकारी गराइदिन परिवर्तन दैनिकलाई नगर प्रमुख पौडेल र थापाले जानकारी गराउनु भयो ।
